1/ The diffences in a school library from years ago to now is illustrated by the two diagrams.
Overall, there were considerable developments to the arrangement to the areas and sections in the school library including the addition of new rooms in the current plan.
Five years ago, the school library had two bookshelves but now it is reduced to one space for bookshelves, the other is used for “Desks for students’ laptops”, the areas for studying tables has been changed into private studying tables with more tables now.
Another major development is the recording studio which replaced the classroom before and the combination of two areas “Borrowing and Returning” replace for one previous room.
Another considerable difference is the library office has been changed into the conference one with the same place of the library.
There are some rooms which remain the place but these are used for different rooms or different purposes such as the desk for computers in the past has been changed into the desks for students now.
2. Below is a map of the city of Brandfield. City planners have decided to build a new shopping mall for the area, and two sites, S1 and S2 have been proposed.
The plan illustrates two possible locations for a new shopping centers/complex in the city of Brandfield.
In general, the most notable difference between the two sites is that the first sites (S1) is near the residental area, while the second site (S2) is a short distance from the industrial zone.
The first proposed location – S1 – is to the north of the city centre and to the south east of the housing estate. This will provide easy access for people who live in the residential area if the shopping mall is built here. There is a railway line between S1 and the downtown which runs from the north west of the city to the south east. S1 is fairy close to the river and the main road, which runs through the town.
As for the second location: S2 is located to the south east of the city centre and to the south of the industrial estate. It is also in close proximity to the railway and the main road. However, there is a considerable distance between S2 and the river. Both S2 and S1 are located quite far away to the east of the golf course and park.

The most stiking difference between the two sites is that the first site is in the countryside, while the second location is roughly in the middle of the Town Centre.
4. The process below shows the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
The diagram describe how salmon grow from eggs to mature individuals.
Overall, there are three main stages in the life cycle of salmon starting with salmon eggs in the upper river and the complete cycle lasts for about ten years.
Firstly, salmon begins life as eggs in the slow-moving upper reaches of a river, surrounded by reeds and pebbles. This shelter usually keep the eggs safe for about five to six months before they hatch. The newborn fish normally called “fry” are very small, which are only three to eight centimeters long. The fry them follows the fast flow to the lower river and stay there for four years until they reach the length of twelve to fifteen centimeters. These grown fish are known as “smolt”.
At the next stage of the life cycle, the “smolt” migrate to the open sea. After approximately five years living in the ocean, these “smolt” will have grown to adult site, which is about 70 to 76 cemtimeters. Their reproductive stage then begins as the mature salmon swims back to their birthplace and lays eggs. The salmon’s life cycle starts again at the same place where it begins.

In general, it can be seen that there are five main stages of the process and these stages take place both under and above the ground level.
The process of generating electrictity using geothermal energy starts by storing cold water in a tank. The cold water is then pumped down under the ground through a large pipe, which mearuses 4.5 kilometers in length, into an injection well. Once cold water reaches the injection well, it keeps flowing through the geothermal zone, where hot rocks are used to raise the temperature.
At the following stage of the process, heated water is pumped up from the production well into a large condenser, where hot water is transformed into steam. Next, the steam serves a function of powering and rotating a turbin. A generator is then powered by this turbine and subsequently produces electricity. Finally, generated electricity is sent to the electricity tower.
6. Consumers are faced with increasing numbers of advertisements from competing companies. To what extent do you think consumers are influenced by advertisements? What measures can be taken to protect them?
These days, due to a strong competitive commercial market, people are exposed to an ever increasing amount of advertising. I believe that people are highly susceptible to modern day advertising and marketing techniques, and that certain actions need to be taken to ensure the wellbeing of consumers.
Advertising has become a multibillion dollar industry, and much reseach has gone into its development and effectiveness in order to help businesses sell more products and services. And although advertising can provide many benefits to the consumer, it can also has quite a negative impact on individuals and society as a whole. One of the negative effects advertising can have is that it can lead people to buy things they don’t actually need or even necessarily want. Advertising techniques can make us feel as though we really need to have something and this can cause people to make impulsive purchases, which they may not have made a more thorough decision.
Furthermore, in societies where advertising laws are more relaxed, people are faced with a large amounts of advertising containing many subliminal messages and explicit content. For instance, it is well known in the advertising industry that sex sells. Creating sexual understones within advertisements can influence people’s thoughts about not only the product but ideas associated around it. This can have many negative influences on the minds of people, and in particular children, potentially forming certain negative beliefs and ideas about such topics.
In conclusion, for these, and many other reasons, I believe that Governments and other organisations need to monitor how companies try to promote their products and services in order to protect innocent consumers. This can be achieved through the regulation of the content of advertisements and the regulation of the space where advertisements occur, such as billboards and posters. Individual companies also must take responsibility regarding their advertisements to ensure that they do not contain subliminal or explicit marerial that might negatively affect consumers.
7. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age. Some think they should begin at at least 7 years old. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People have different view about whether children should start their formal education as early as possible or delay it until they are at least seven years old. Personaly, I believe an early commencement of study would be far more beneficial than a later start.
Firstly, starting school at young age would generate a number of possitive outcomes. Underniably, the younger an individual is, the earlier it is for him/ her to acquire new knowledge and information. As a result, these children would have a head start over their peers pursuing higher education. Besides this, they would may have opportunities to figure out their natural talents. Most Vietnamese children, for example, are sent to kindergarten at the age of three and four to learn some basic skills such as addition and substraction. After a couple of months, those showing potential will be cared for by teachers with an aim to train them to become specialized students in the future.
However, several individuals advocate a later start to formal schooling due to a number of reasons. It is believed that commencing school at an early age will offer kids more time to learn many things via their parents at home. As a result, these children will become more mature and integrate more easily into the educational environmen in the upcoming years. In addition, it might also be more benificial for children to have a childhood in which they can cultivate their own skills and interests through normal activites at home.
To conclude, despite being safe with their parents at home, children would have fewer chances to engage in extracurricular activities which would equip them with vital soft skills including teamwork and communication skills. Not to mention, while not at school, many children tend to lead an unhealthy lifestyle as their free time is devoted to online games, which gradually isolate them from society. Therefore, I believe that it would be well-advised that parents send their children to school at an early age.

It is an phenomenon in many countries in the world that there is a shortage of students who choose to study science subjects as their major. There are some reasons to justify this trend and it also causes/ triggers adverse/ unfavorable effects/ impacts on the society.
The first reason why fewer students choose science as their major is that science subjects namely Biological Technology or Computer Science, …. are extremely demanding. Generally, a major in science consists of related subjects with a great amount of specialized knowledge and a number of experiments, which can be very tough. As a result/ Consequently, students are often put under pressure a lot of pressure in order to understand and handle the tasks well. Another justification is that graduates may take risks of unemployment as there are fewer job opportunities for graduates in science majors. Instead, students are likely to choose a major that is not so demanding but still makes it easier for them to find a job.
The deficiency in students in science fields might trigger unfavorable effects to the society. The most clearly seen impact might be imbalance between the number of students who study science and other majors. This may lead to the shortage of workers in scientific fields and also cause a lack/ insufficiency of technical breakthroughs and inventions. Additionally, there may be a crisis of employment due to the disparity in the number of graduates who choose other fields such as business, art or pedagogy and those who study science. More students majoring in science may be made redundant as there are less job opportunities in this area. As a result, this will increase the burden of unemployment of the society.
To conclude, reasons that cause the lack of students choosing science as a major vary, and this issue may bring several negative impacts on the society.

University students always focus on one specialist subject, but some people think universities should encourage their students to study a range of subjects in addition to their own subject. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Students in university usually concentrate on one particular subject, whereas others think that students should be encouraged to study a variety of subjects in addition to their own subject. While I accept that university student study on one special subject, I believe that they should learn a variety of subjects.
On the one hand, there are a variety of reasons why students should focus on one particular subject. The first reason is they can grasp an authentic understanding of their subject. For example, if a student can dig deeply into a subject, they always obtain a lot of knowledge and assimilate than student study in general. Moreover, the employer always prefers the students who have a specific knowledge from on subject. For instance, when interviews look for accounting position, they would like the person that are trained in subject related to accounting than people know a lot of knowledge like sale, marketing, accounting without studying deeply.
One the other hand, students should learn a variety of subject. Firstly, not only knowledge, the university help students to get the real skills. For example, besides knowledge, student should master vital soft skills include manage conflict, communication…that will be useful when they work. Secondly, studying a range of subjects helps students to find their disadvantages and advantages of them, since they can make a decide to their career. For instance, the university programs have fundamental subject related to variety branches, student can try and find the branch which fit to their characteristic and their way to career late on.
In conclusion, it is certainly true that students should get the knowledge from on particular subjects, but this is by no means they don’t study a range of subjects.

The plans below show a student room for two people and a student room for one person at an Australian university.
The given diagrams illustrate the layout of two different student rooms at an Australian university. Overall, the main differences between the two rooms are the price, the size, the features of each room, and how many people each room can accommodate. As can be seen, the first room is the larger, more expensive one, and has more features as well as can accommodate a greater number of people. The first room is suitable for two people and costs $350 per week, while the second room is only suitable for one person and costs $200 per week. The first room is also significantly
larger, at 6m x 4m, compared with the second room, which is only 6m x 2.5m. The first room contains two beds, two study desks, two televisions, two cupboards, a bookshelf, and a table and chairs. Meanwhile, the second room only features one bed, one study desk, and one television, but has no cupboards, bookshelf, or table and chairs. Both rooms have similar kitchen and bathroom facilities.
The diagram depicts two different student dorm room design layouts. Because one room is designed for two people while the other is planned for a single occupant, there are major differences between their dimensions and features.
To begin, both rooms have a length of 6 meters; however, they differ in width. The living space in the single room is 2.5 meters wide which allows sufficient space to place a single bed with one study desk beside it, across from which is a TV. At the upper left corner is the bathroom, and adjacent to that is the cooking area comprising a stove, a microwave, and a sink.
A closer look into the double room reveals that it has a width of 4-meters which permits plenty of space for two beds. At the top right corner is Bed 1, and at the bottom right corner is Bed 2. Beside each bed is a study desk and both are divided by a cupboard. Unlike the other room, the larger option has a small social/dining area with a circular table and two chairs facing the television. The larger room also features a bookshelf. Apparently, the bathrooms are exactly the same size for both room options.

Online education is a comparatively new trend and thousands of educational institutes have already embraced this method to offer their courses. While some negative aspects of this development could not be ignored, the advantages of it far outweigh the demerits.
To begin with, many universities in developed countries offer online degrees and short courses, and they have started doing so only after proper research. The research proved that the Internet-based courses are advantageous both for the students and teachers. The intuitive and methodical lessons offered by an online course is planned by several university teachers and technology experts and hence they maintain a rigid quality. The widespread use of the Internet makes it handy for people to enrol in a course without considering time and distance. This trend has attracted thousands of professionals, housewives and elderly people to continue their education or take courses of their choices. For instance, as many as twenty-five thousand housewives in the USA complete their preferred online courses and diplomas in a year. Attending traditional classroom-based courses were impossible for this large number of housewives and busy professionals.
Moreover, Internet-based courses are easier to follow and someone can retake the same lessons over and over again, unlike traditional classes. Thus many students have reported the Khan Academy, Linda, and Udemy, renowned Internet-based online course websites, to be their preferred learning tools. Many skill-developing online courses, for example, have assisted thousands of young people to pursue their career in technology and this has all been possible with Internet-based learning.
The downside of this trend is the cost and lack of proper supervision by a teacher. Courses offered by prestigious universities are often far too expensive for a poor student to bear. Teachers' guidance and motivation often play a great role in a pupil's success and the online course cannot be a suitable substitute for the motivation teachers can offer.
To conclude, technological advancements in education, especially online education, is a great leap towards a world without illiteracy and unemployment. Hence, this is such a positive development though it lacks a teacher's motivation and direct supervision.
The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
The line graph compares three companies in terms of their waste output between the years 2000 and 2015.
It is clear that there were significant changes in the amounts of waste produced by all three companies shown on the graph. While companies A and B saw waste output fall over the 15-year period, the amount of waste produced by company C increased considerably.
In 2000, company A produced 12 tonnes of waste, while companies B and C produced around 8 tonnes and 4 tonnes of waste material respectively. Over the following 5 years, the waste output of companies B and C rose by around 2 tonnes, but the figure for company A fell by approximately 1 tonne.
From 2005 to 2015, company A cut waste production by roughly 3 tonnes, and company B reduced its waste by around 7 tonnes. By contrast, company C saw an increase in waste production of approximately 4 tonnes over the same 10-year period. By 2015, company C’s waste output had risen to 10 tonnes, while the respective amounts of waste from companies A and B had dropped to 8 tonnes and only 3 tonnes.

The line graph illustrates the quantity of waste products produced by companies A,B, and C for a period of one and a half decades.
It is evidently seen that company C has increased gradually in the production of waste from year 2000 to 2015. However, in companies A and B, both had a similar downward trend in the amount of waste that they produced in the same period of year.
It is interesting to note that in companies B and C, both had increase dramatically in their waste production with a staggering approximation of 2 tonnes between the year 2000 and 2005. In addition, the gap between both companies have remained in the amount of 4 to 5 tonnes. On the other hand, in the same period, company A had experience a decline in their waste production for more than a ton.
Furthermore, during the year 2010, company B and company C had the same amount of waste, which is seven tonnes, produced in this mentioned year. Moreover, after five years, company C remained its upward course until finally it gained its way to become the highest company that produced a huge quantity of waste products.
Some people think that instead of preventing climate change, we need to find a way to live with it. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Climate change represents a major threat to life on Earth, but some people argue that we need to accept it rather than try to stop it. I completely disagree with this opinion, because I believe that we still have time to tackle this issue and reduce the human impact on the Earth's climate.
There are various measures that governments and individuals could take to prevent, or at least mitigate, climate change. Governments could introduce laws to limit the carbon dioxide emissions that lead to global warming. They could impose “green taxes” on drivers, airline companies and other polluters, and they could invest in renewable energy production from solar, wind or water power. As individuals, we should also try to limit our contribution to climate change, by becoming more energy efficient, by flying less, and by using bicycles and public transport. Furthermore, the public can affect the actions of governments by voting for politicians who propose to tackle climate change, rather than for those who would prefer to ignore it.
If instead of taking the above measures we simply try to live with climate change, I believe that the consequences will be disastrous. To give just one example, I am not optimistic that we would be able to cope with even a small rise in sea levels. Millions of people would be displaced by flooding, particularly in countries that do not have the means to safeguard low-lying areas. These people would lose their homes and their jobs, and they would be forced to migrate to nearby cities or perhaps to other countries. The potential for human suffering would be huge, and it is likely that we would see outbreaks of disease and famine, as well as increased homelessness and poverty.
In conclusion, it is clear to me that we must address the problem of climate change, and I disagree with those who argue that we can find ways to live with it.

The graph below illustrates the total university gradutes in both genders in Canada between 1992 and 2007, a period of 15 years.
Overall, both genders showed a strong movement upwards within 15 years. However, the number of females is much more than males in all the given time.
In 1992, there are about under 100 000 women graduates from universities, but it has a gradual climb in over 3 years later to 105 000 people. In the next 3 years, although the line showed a slight decrease, from 1998 it went up considerately and reached the peak of nearly 150 000 people in 2007.
Meanwhile, in 1992, just about 70 000 men got their degrees and until 1995, it increased to nearly 50 000 people. In the next 3 years, the number of males had a slow movement downwards identically to the number of females. It also fluctuated slightly about in 3 years after, from 1998 to 2001. Nonetheless, from 2001, the line went up dramatically to approximately 100 000 men graduated.
Some organisations believe that their employees should dress smartly. Others value quality of work above appearance.
Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

The dress style is very important for many organizations, it is one of the ways that how other people judge the way you work. But some workplaces prefer to improve the performance of their employees rather than focus on wearing smart and beautiful clothes. So, the appearance or the working quality of the employees, which one is more important?
Many organizations regulate their members to wear uniform. They believe that with a formal and polite dress style, other people will have strong attraction with the way they work. In the places like hospitals, banks, shopping malls, …., where the staffs have to work directly with people, beside servicing in the best manner, a smart and beautiful dress style will make the customers impress and feel more pleasure. Also with the formal uniforms like the polices, the doctors or the lawyers, people can feel the professional style from those outfits, and they also can recognize which organization that the employees work for.
On the other hand, some workplaces don’t require members to wear formal or smart clothes, they care more about the quality of the employees’ s performance. Most of this place, the staffs don’t need to work directly with the customers, so they can choose to wear any kind of clothes as long as it’s suitable for the working environment. For example, most designers in companies only focus on how to design the products that will pleasure the customers, they don’t need to meet the customers usually so they don’t have to wear formal uniforms, just have to wear comfortable and suitable clothes that help them think more effective.
Overall, in my opinion, I believe that both of these views depend on the organization activities. If the staff members have to work directly with other people, a smart and beautiful suit with best manner will help them more confident and make the customers more impress. And for the employees that work without meeting the customers too often, they can just wear suitable and comfortable clothes and focus on how to improve their performance to make the organization more and more develop.

It is clear that theme parks and museums / galleries were the two most popular types of tourist attraction in that year. Blackpool Pleasure Beach received by far the highest proportion of visitors in the theme park sector.
Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that 38% of the surveyed visitors went to a theme park, and 37% of them went to a museum or gallery. By contrast, historic houses and monuments were visited by only 16% of the sample, while wildlife parks and zoos were the least popular of the four types of tourist attraction, with only 9% of visitors.
In the theme park sector, almost half of the people surveyed (47%) had been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. To what extent do the benefits of information technology outweigh the disadvantages?
In today’s world, technology has become an integral part of people’s life. There is no denying on the fact that people are becoming increasingly dependent on information technology. However; there are two sides to ever coin. Excessive dependence on technology leads to unhealthy life style and isolation. This essay will discuss why advantages of technology do in fact outweigh it’s disadvantages.
The huge dominance of information technology can be attributed to the fact that it makes life easier. Prior to advent of technology, work and study used to be hectic and tedious. However, nowadays internet gives accessibility to numerous resources, which can enhance our work and study performance. Specifically, with just a click, students and workers, all around the world, can get different perspective for solving particular problem .Also, areas of work have moved forward in leaps and bounds due to replacement of old traditional data storage system with computers.
In addition, Technology have made the world- a global village. In contrast with the past, people can be in touch with anyone; from the comfort of their own home. Also, we can have information about any part of the world. For instance, a person from India can have knowledge of U.S foreign policies with in a second. Moreover, we all have instant access to Entertainment industry- present on other part of the globe. Various types of songs, shows, games comes to serve in front of our screen these days.
On the flip side, certain disadvantages are certainly associated with influence of technology. Firstly, it leads to unhealthy life style. Rather than doing any kind of physical activity, for example, people are engaged on their computer and smart phones in their free time. Furthermore, it pushes person towards isolation. Although, people are connected to the world , they seems to lose humanly contact slowly. These days ,everybody is occupied by technology , no one have time to have face-to-face interaction. Thus, in long run, it might make person despondent.
Clearly, there are some negative aspects of the technology. Having said that, it’s benefits out weigh it’s disadvantages. Of course, it should be used sensibly and people must take regular breaks from technology.
1/ The diffences in a school library from years ago to now is illustrated by the two diagrams.
Overall, there were considerable developments to the arrangement to the areas and sections in the school library including the addition of new rooms in the current plan.
Five years ago, the school library had two bookshelves but now it is reduced to one space for bookshelves, the other is used for “Desks for students’ laptops”, the areas for studying tables has been changed into private studying tables with more tables now.
Another major development is the recording studio which replaced the classroom before and the combination of two areas “Borrowing and Returning” replace for one previous room.
Another considerable difference is the library office has been changed into the conference one with the same place of the library.
There are some rooms which remain the place but these are used for different rooms or different purposes such as the desk for computers in the past has been changed into the desks for students now.
2. Below is a map of the city of Brandfield. City planners have decided to build a new shopping mall for the area, and two sites, S1 and S2 have been proposed.
The plan illustrates two possible locations for a new shopping centers/complex in the city of Brandfield.
In general, the most notable difference between the two sites is that the first sites (S1) is near the residental area, while the second site (S2) is a short distance from the industrial zone.
The first proposed location – S1 – is to the north of the city centre and to the south east of the housing estate. This will provide easy access for people who live in the residential area if the shopping mall is built here. There is a railway line between S1 and the downtown which runs from the north west of the city to the south east. S1 is fairy close to the river and the main road, which runs through the town.
As for the second location: S2 is located to the south east of the city centre and to the south of the industrial estate. It is also in close proximity to the railway and the main road. However, there is a considerable distance between S2 and the river. Both S2 and S1 are located quite far away to the east of the golf course and park.

The most stiking difference between the two sites is that the first site is in the countryside, while the second location is roughly in the middle of the Town Centre.
4. The process below shows the life cycle of a species of large fish called the salmon.
The diagram describe how salmon grow from eggs to mature individuals.
Overall, there are three main stages in the life cycle of salmon starting with salmon eggs in the upper river and the complete cycle lasts for about ten years.
Firstly, salmon begins life as eggs in the slow-moving upper reaches of a river, surrounded by reeds and pebbles. This shelter usually keep the eggs safe for about five to six months before they hatch. The newborn fish normally called “fry” are very small, which are only three to eight centimeters long. The fry them follows the fast flow to the lower river and stay there for four years until they reach the length of twelve to fifteen centimeters. These grown fish are known as “smolt”.
At the next stage of the life cycle, the “smolt” migrate to the open sea. After approximately five years living in the ocean, these “smolt” will have grown to adult site, which is about 70 to 76 cemtimeters. Their reproductive stage then begins as the mature salmon swims back to their birthplace and lays eggs. The salmon’s life cycle starts again at the same place where it begins.

In general, it can be seen that there are five main stages of the process and these stages take place both under and above the ground level.
The process of generating electrictity using geothermal energy starts by storing cold water in a tank. The cold water is then pumped down under the ground through a large pipe, which mearuses 4.5 kilometers in length, into an injection well. Once cold water reaches the injection well, it keeps flowing through the geothermal zone, where hot rocks are used to raise the temperature.
At the following stage of the process, heated water is pumped up from the production well into a large condenser, where hot water is transformed into steam. Next, the steam serves a function of powering and rotating a turbin. A generator is then powered by this turbine and subsequently produces electricity. Finally, generated electricity is sent to the electricity tower.
6. Consumers are faced with increasing numbers of advertisements from competing companies. To what extent do you think consumers are influenced by advertisements? What measures can be taken to protect them?
These days, due to a strong competitive commercial market, people are exposed to an ever increasing amount of advertising. I believe that people are highly susceptible to modern day advertising and marketing techniques, and that certain actions need to be taken to ensure the wellbeing of consumers.
Advertising has become a multibillion dollar industry, and much reseach has gone into its development and effectiveness in order to help businesses sell more products and services. And although advertising can provide many benefits to the consumer, it can also has quite a negative impact on individuals and society as a whole. One of the negative effects advertising can have is that it can lead people to buy things they don’t actually need or even necessarily want. Advertising techniques can make us feel as though we really need to have something and this can cause people to make impulsive purchases, which they may not have made a more thorough decision.
Furthermore, in societies where advertising laws are more relaxed, people are faced with a large amounts of advertising containing many subliminal messages and explicit content. For instance, it is well known in the advertising industry that sex sells. Creating sexual understones within advertisements can influence people’s thoughts about not only the product but ideas associated around it. This can have many negative influences on the minds of people, and in particular children, potentially forming certain negative beliefs and ideas about such topics.
In conclusion, for these, and many other reasons, I believe that Governments and other organisations need to monitor how companies try to promote their products and services in order to protect innocent consumers. This can be achieved through the regulation of the content of advertisements and the regulation of the space where advertisements occur, such as billboards and posters. Individual companies also must take responsibility regarding their advertisements to ensure that they do not contain subliminal or explicit marerial that might negatively affect consumers.
7. Some people think that children should begin their formal education at a very early age. Some think they should begin at at least 7 years old. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

People have different view about whether children should start their formal education as early as possible or delay it until they are at least seven years old. Personaly, I believe an early commencement of study would be far more beneficial than a later start.
Firstly, starting school at young age would generate a number of possitive outcomes. Underniably, the younger an individual is, the earlier it is for him/ her to acquire new knowledge and information. As a result, these children would have a head start over their peers pursuing higher education. Besides this, they would may have opportunities to figure out their natural talents. Most Vietnamese children, for example, are sent to kindergarten at the age of three and four to learn some basic skills such as addition and substraction. After a couple of months, those showing potential will be cared for by teachers with an aim to train them to become specialized students in the future.
However, several individuals advocate a later start to formal schooling due to a number of reasons. It is believed that commencing school at an early age will offer kids more time to learn many things via their parents at home. As a result, these children will become more mature and integrate more easily into the educational environmen in the upcoming years. In addition, it might also be more benificial for children to have a childhood in which they can cultivate their own skills and interests through normal activites at home.
To conclude, despite being safe with their parents at home, children would have fewer chances to engage in extracurricular activities which would equip them with vital soft skills including teamwork and communication skills. Not to mention, while not at school, many children tend to lead an unhealthy lifestyle as their free time is devoted to online games, which gradually isolate them from society. Therefore, I believe that it would be well-advised that parents send their children to school at an early age.

Generally, a major in science consists of related subjects with a great amount of specialized knowledge and a number of experiments, which can be very tough. Another justification is that graduates may take risks of unemployment as there are fewer job opportunities for graduates in science majors. Instead, students are likely to choose a major that is not so demanding but still makes it easier for them to find a job.
The deficiency in students in science fields might trigger unfavorable effects to the society. The most clearly seen impact might be imbalance between the number of students who study science and other majors. This may lead to the shortage of workers in scientific fields and also cause a lack/ insufficiency of technical breakthroughs and inventions. Additionally, there may be a crisis of employment due to the disparity in the number of graduates who choose other fields such as business, art or pedagogy and those who study science. More students majoring in science may be made redundant as there are less job opportunities in this area. As a result, this will increase the burden of unemployment of the society.
To conclude, reasons that cause the lack of students choosing science as a major vary, and this issue may bring several negative impacts on the society.

Students in university usually concentrate on one particular subject, whereas others think that students should be encouraged to study a variety of subjects in addition to their own subject. While I accept that university student study on one special subject, I believe that they should learn a variety of subjects.
On the one hand, there are a variety of reasons why students should focus on one particular subject. The first reason is they can grasp an authentic understanding of their subject. For example, if a student can dig deeply into a subject, they always obtain a lot of knowledge and assimilate than student study in general. Moreover, the employer always prefers the students who have a specific knowledge from on subject. For instance, when interviews look for accounting position, they would like the person that are trained in subject related to accounting than people know a lot of knowledge like sale, marketing, accounting without studying deeply.
One the other hand, students should learn a variety of subject. Firstly, not only knowledge, the university help students to get the real skills. In conclusion, it is certainly true that students should get the knowledge from on particular subjects, but this is by no means they don’t study a range of subjects.

The given diagrams illustrate the layout of two different student rooms at an Australian university. Overall, the main differences between the two rooms are the price, the size, the features of each room, and how many people each room can accommodate. As can be seen, the first room is the larger, more expensive one, and has more features as well as can accommodate a greater number of people. The first room is suitable for two people and costs $350 per week, while the second room is only suitable for one person and costs $200 per week. The first room is also significantly
larger, at 6m x 4m, compared with the second room, which is only 6m x 2.5m. The first room contains two beds, two study desks, two televisions, two cupboards, a bookshelf, and a table and chairs. Meanwhile, the second room only features one bed, one study desk, and one television, but has no cupboards, bookshelf, or table and chairs. Both rooms have similar kitchen and bathroom facilities.
The diagram depicts two different student dorm room design layouts. Because one room is designed for two people while the other is planned for a single occupant, there are major differences between their dimensions and features.
To begin, both rooms have a length of 6 meters; however, they differ in width. The living space in the single room is 2.5 meters wide which allows sufficient space to place a single bed with one study desk beside it, across from which is a TV. At the upper left corner is the bathroom, and adjacent to that is the cooking area comprising a stove, a microwave, and a sink.
A closer look into the double room reveals that it has a width of 4-meters which permits plenty of space for two beds. At the top right corner is Bed 1, and at the bottom right corner is Bed 2. Beside each bed is a study desk and both are divided by a cupboard. Unlike the other room, the larger option has a small social/dining area with a circular table and two chairs facing the television. The larger room also features a bookshelf. Apparently, the bathrooms are exactly the same size for both room options.

Online education is a comparatively new trend and thousands of educational institutes have already embraced this method to offer their courses. While some negative aspects of this development could not be ignored, the advantages of it far outweigh the demerits.
To begin with, many universities in developed countries offer online degrees and short courses, and they have started doing so only after proper research. The research proved that the Internet-based courses are advantageous both for the students and teachers. The intuitive and methodical lessons offered by an online course is planned by several university teachers and technology experts and hence they maintain a rigid quality. The widespread use of the Internet makes it handy for people to enrol in a course without considering time and distance. This trend has attracted thousands of professionals, housewives and elderly people to continue their education or take courses of their choices. For instance, as many as twenty-five thousand housewives in the USA complete their preferred online courses and diplomas in a year. Attending traditional classroom-based courses were impossible for this large number of housewives and busy professionals.
Moreover, Internet-based courses are easier to follow and someone can retake the same lessons over and over again, unlike traditional classes. Thus many students have reported the Khan Academy, Linda, and Udemy, renowned Internet-based online course websites, to be their preferred learning tools. Many skill-developing online courses, for example, have assisted thousands of young people to pursue their career in technology and this has all been possible with Internet-based learning.
The downside of this trend is the cost and lack of proper supervision by a teacher. Courses offered by prestigious universities are often far too expensive for a poor student to bear. Teachers' guidance and motivation often play a great role in a pupil's success and the online course cannot be a suitable substitute for the motivation teachers can offer.
To conclude, technological advancements in education, especially online education, is a great leap towards a world without illiteracy and unemployment. Hence, this is such a positive development though it lacks a teacher's motivation and direct supervision.
The graph below shows the amounts of waste produced by three companies over a period of 15 years.
The line graph compares three companies in terms of their waste output between the years 2000 and 2015.
It is clear that there were significant changes in the amounts of waste produced by all three companies shown on the graph. While companies A and B saw waste output fall over the 15-year period, the amount of waste produced by company C increased considerably.
In 2000, company A produced 12 tonnes of waste, while companies B and C produced around 8 tonnes and 4 tonnes of waste material respectively. Over the following 5 years, the waste output of companies B and C rose by around 2 tonnes, but the figure for company A fell by approximately 1 tonne.
From 2005 to 2015, company A cut waste production by roughly 3 tonnes, and company B reduced its waste by around 7 tonnes. By contrast, company C saw an increase in waste production of approximately 4 tonnes over the same 10-year period. By 2015, company C’s waste output had risen to 10 tonnes, while the respective amounts of waste from companies A and B had dropped to 8 tonnes and only 3 tonnes.

It is evidently seen that company C has increased gradually in the production of waste from year 2000 to 2015. However, in companies A and B, both had a similar downward trend in the amount of waste that they produced in the same period of year.
It is interesting to note that in companies B and C, both had increase dramatically in their waste production with a staggering approximation of 2 tonnes between the year 2000 and 2005. In addition, the gap between both companies have remained in the amount of 4 to 5 tonnes. On the other hand, in the same period, company A had experience a decline in their waste production for more than a ton.
Furthermore, during the year 2010, company B and company C had the same amount of waste, which is seven tonnes, produced in this mentioned year. Moreover, after five years, company C remained its upward course until finally it gained its way to become the highest company that produced a huge quantity of waste products.
Some people think that instead of preventing climate change, we need to find a way to live with it. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Climate change represents a major threat to life on Earth, but some people argue that we need to accept it rather than try to stop it. I completely disagree with this opinion, because I believe that we still have time to tackle this issue and reduce the human impact on the Earth's climate.
There are various measures that governments and individuals could take to prevent, or at least mitigate, climate change. Governments could introduce laws to limit the carbon dioxide emissions that lead to global warming. They could impose “green taxes” on drivers, airline companies and other polluters, and they could invest in renewable energy production from solar, wind or water power. As individuals, we should also try to limit our contribution to climate change, by becoming more energy efficient, by flying less, and by using bicycles and public transport. Furthermore, the public can affect the actions of governments by voting for politicians who propose to tackle climate change, rather than for those who would prefer to ignore it.
If instead of taking the above measures we simply try to live with climate change, I believe that the consequences will be disastrous. To give just one example, I am not optimistic that we would be able to cope with even a small rise in sea levels. Millions of people would be displaced by flooding, particularly in countries that do not have the means to safeguard low-lying areas. These people would lose their homes and their jobs, and they would be forced to migrate to nearby cities or perhaps to other countries. The potential for human suffering would be huge, and it is likely that we would see outbreaks of disease and famine, as well as increased homelessness and poverty.
In conclusion, it is clear to me that we must address the problem of climate change, and I disagree with those who argue that we can find ways to live with it.

The graph below illustrates the total university gradutes in both genders in Canada between 1992 and 2007, a period of 15 years.
Overall, both genders showed a strong movement upwards within 15 years. However, the number of females is much more than males in all the given time.
In 1992, there are about under 100 000 women graduates from universities, but it has a gradual climb in over 3 years later to 105 000 people. In the next 3 years, although the line showed a slight decrease, from 1998 it went up considerately and reached the peak of nearly 150 000 people in 2007.
Meanwhile, in 1992, just about 70 000 men got their degrees and until 1995, it increased to nearly 50 000 people. The dress style is very important for many organizations, it is one of the ways that how other people judge the way you work. But some workplaces prefer to improve the performance of their employees rather than focus on wearing smart and beautiful clothes. So, the appearance or the working quality of the employees, which one is more important?
Many organizations regulate their members to wear uniform. They believe that with a formal and polite dress style, other people will have strong attraction with the way they work. In the places like hospitals, banks, shopping malls, …., where the staffs have to work directly with people, beside servicing in the best manner, a smart and beautiful dress style will make the customers impress and feel more pleasure. Also with the formal uniforms like the polices, the doctors or the lawyers, people can feel the professional style from those outfits, and they also can recognize which organization that the employees work for.
On the other hand, some workplaces don’t require members to wear formal or smart clothes, they care more about the quality of the employees’ s performance. Most of this place, the staffs don’t need to work directly with the customers, so they can choose to wear any kind of clothes as long as it’s suitable for the working environment. For example, most designers in companies only focus on how to design the products that will pleasure the customers, they don’t need to meet the customers usually so they don’t have to wear formal uniforms, just have to wear comfortable and suitable clothes that help them think more effective.
Overall, in my opinion, I believe that both of these views depend on the organization activities. If the staff members have to work directly with other people, a smart and beautiful suit with best manner will help them more confident and make the customers more impress. And for the employees that work without meeting the customers too often, they can just wear suitable and comfortable clothes and focus on how to improve their performance to make the organization more and more develop.

It is clear that theme parks and museums / galleries were the two most popular types of tourist attraction in that year. Blackpool Pleasure Beach received by far the highest proportion of visitors in the theme park sector.
Looking at the information in more detail, we can see that 38% of the surveyed visitors went to a theme park, and 37% of them went to a museum or gallery. By contrast, historic houses and monuments were visited by only 16% of the sample, while wildlife parks and zoos were the least popular of the four types of tourist attraction, with only 9% of visitors.
In the theme park sector, almost half of the people surveyed (47%) had been to Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Alton Towers was the second most popular amusement park, with 17% of the sample, followed by Pleasureland in Southport, with 16%. Finally, Chessington World of Adventures and Legoland Windsor had each welcomed 10% of the surveyed visitors.

To what extent do the benefits of information technology outweigh the disadvantages?
In today’s world, technology has become an integral part of people’s life. There is no denying on the fact that people are becoming increasingly dependent on information technology. However; there are two sides to ever coin. Excessive dependence on technology leads to unhealthy life style and isolation. This essay will discuss why advantages of technology do in fact outweigh it’s disadvantages.
The huge dominance of information technology can be attributed to the fact that it makes life easier. Prior to advent of technology, work and study used to be hectic and tedious. However, nowadays internet gives accessibility to numerous resources, which can enhance our work and study performance. Specifically, with just a click, students and workers, all around the world, can get different perspective for solving particular problem .Also, areas of work have moved forward in leaps and bounds due to replacement of old traditional data storage system with computers.
In addition, Technology have made the world- a global village. In contrast with the past, people can be in touch with anyone; from the comfort of their own home. Also, we can have information about any part of the world. For instance, a person from India can have knowledge of U.S foreign policies with in a second. Moreover, we all have instant access to Entertainment industry- present on other part of the globe. Various types of songs, shows, games comes to serve in front of our screen these days.
On the flip side, certain disadvantages are certainly associated with influence of technology. Firstly, it leads to unhealthy life style. Rather than doing any kind of physical activity, for example, people are engaged on their computer and smart phones in their free time. Furthermore, it pushes person towards isolation. Although, people are connected to the world , they seems to lose humanly contact slowly. These days ,everybody is occupied by technology , no one have time to have face-to-face interaction. Thus, in long run, it might make person despondent.
Clearly, there are some negative aspects of the technology. Having said that, it’s benefits out weigh it’s disadvantages. Of course, it should be used sensibly and people must take regular breaks from technology.
